The Spectra Coast to Coast team are leaving their headquarters this morning and making their way north to the start line (west to easy) of the Coast to Coast challenge, in support of Myeloma UK.
Our friends over at GRC have been very kind in lending the team a tracking device for the challenge, so if you would like to follow how the team are doing you can do so via the details below.

All,
When you first announced you were doing it, I was hoping I would be fit enough to join you, or at least be there in some capacity. Unfortunately, although I have been out on my bike 4 times now, it has been a short 2.5 mile jaunt around the block. I really don't think I could handle a long journey up to the North of England either which is a shame. Having done the Cyprus Cycle Challenge a few years ago, which is 550 km around Cyprus over 4 days, with day 3 taking us from sea level to the top of Troodos in an almost 6 hr continuous climb, I would just recommend you keep snacking and drinking every half hour or so on the bikes and dress accordingly for the weather. If you aim to do it again next year or something else, I would like to think I would be fit enough to join you.
Once again many thanks for your efforts to raise money for the treatment and awareness of Myeloma and again good luck with the event. Most importantly though - enjoy it, whatever pace you intend doing. - Good Luck Jim
